Is there any strategic reason for Macbeth to kill Macduff's family or has he abandoned reason and judgment?

A- It makes perfect sense because it will break Macduff and keep him from causing Macbeth problems

B- He feels it fulfill more of the witch's prophecies.

C- Macbeth has gone off the deep end when he wages war on women and children because he is mad at a man

out of all the choices its A- It makes perfect sense because it will break Macduff and keep him from causing Macbeth problems
