if 2,000 pounds of paper equal 17 trees then multiply it by 2

4,000 pounds of paper = 34

if you divide 2,000 by 2 then you would get 1,000

1,000 pounds of paper = 8.5 trees

Now add them together:

34+8.5=42.5

5,000 pounds = 42.5 trees.

if you multiply it by 2 you'll get your answer for 10,000 pounds

10,000 pounds= 85 trees

Hope this helps! :3
