if a baby girl guinea pig looks almost identical to its mother, does this then mean that it inherited more alleles from it mother? Explain. ( Hint think about vocabulary words dominant and recessive.)

Step-by-step explanation:

A genotype of any phenotypical characteristics is represented by two allele pairs out of which one is dominant and other one is recessive.

A certain visible characteristics in mother will also be due to presence of dominant allele. Now if daughter has the same characteristics as mother then she would be having the same dominant allele as her mother had.

This does not implies that daughter has inherited more alleles from her mother. However she must have inherited the same dominant allele from her mother.
