1. Kim's age is twice that of her sister. When you add Kim's age to her sister's age, you get 36. How old is each sister? (a) Write an equation that represents the situation. Explain any variable used.

Kim's age would be 24 and her sister would be 12 since her sisters' age is half of hers x would need to be multiplied by 1/2 to get her age.

x + x(1/2)=36 where x is 24

24 + 24(1/2) = 36

24 + 12=36
