Explanation:
Reagon supported regimes in various parts of the world aganst Communist threat. He enlarged US nuclear program and introduced the Star Wars programme for destroying Soviet missiles in space. Moreover, Reagon supported Mujahideen fighting against the Soviets in Afghanistan with Operation Cyclone. Reagon was of the view that by adopting aggressive posture the United States can defeat Soviet Union in the Cold War.
