What does this mean?

Until we come to an authentic and unclouded idea of who we are, we are only a reflection of the opinions of other people; we are a reflection of what others believe about us, as opposed to what we believe about ourselves.

Basically until you understand yourself and you truly know who you are and what you believe you'll always be know as what other people think about you, because what they say will matter more than what you believe yourself
