A school cafeteria makes cheese sauce for macaroni using 15 cups of Swiss cheese and 17 cups of cheddar cheese. Perry tries to make the sauce for your family party using 5 cups of swish cheese and 7 cups of cheddar. Is peery using the correct ratio?

Take Perry's sauce for your family party:

5 cups Swiss and 7 cups cheddar.

Multiply both amounts by 3:

15 cups Swiss and 21 cups cheddar.

The cafeteria recipe is 15 cups Swiss and 17 cups cheddar, so

15 cups Swiss and 21 cups cheddar are an incorrect ratio.

Answer: No

No. Perry is using an incorrect ratio.

You have to cross multiply and when you do that you get 105 and 85 so the ratios are not the same.

Hope this helps!

Have an amazing day :)
