In a lot of ways, making school a requirement for children made our nation more educated which influenced future generations and cultures. In the same way, making school a requirement for children caused a downfall in child labor. Because of this, children were allowed more of a "childhood", though child labor wasn't completely abolished. Hope this helps! :)
