Hannibal Barca is the famous Carthaginian general who invaded Rome. Hannibal crossed the Alps with his army and invaded Rome. He occupied areas in Italy for 15 years but never conquered the city of Rome. Hannibal was defeated in North Africa by Scipio at the Battle of Zama. During his career Hannibal defeated Rome many times in Italy. To get him out of Italy Scipio invaded North Africa where Hannibal went to meet his army. Hannibal Barca is considered to be one of the best military commanders of all time.
