This is just an algebra problem.

The problem is x-3=7

We solve this by adding 3 to each side.

When we do this, we get x=10.

So the other number 10

If I understand correctly, there are two possible answers to this question.

It could be either -4 or 10.

3 + 7 = 10 or 3 - 7 = -4
