A. would be the most reasonable answer. This because if the object has balanced forces acting upon it, then it will not accelerate faster unless acted on by a unbalanced force.

Answer:

The correct answer is A: It remains at rest, or moves at constant speed in the same direction.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is explained by the laws of physics, especially, the way that forces act upon an object in order to generate movement or stillness. In this case, the question talks about an object on which forces are acting. Unless the forces are opposite, or any other variables come into play, in this case scenario, the correct answer is A because the forces push the object at a constant speed, and therefore, the object will either stand still, or move, depending on the play between the object and forces, until one of the factors changes. And the object will move in the same direction because the forces are balanced with the object and do not change, or oppose, this direction.
