Summarize how isostatic adjustments affect isostasy

The movements of the lithosphere to reach isostasty are called isostatic adjustments. One type of isostatic adjustment is shown in Figure 1. As these isostatic adjustments occur. areas of the crust are bent up and down. This bending causes rock in that area to deform.
