Use the statistics you just explored to help you with this question. Which statement best summarizes the trend in higher education costs? The introduction of online learning is a major source of the rise in costs. Rising costs have been slowed by the availability of more government loans. Costs have consistently risen over the past fifty years and continue to rise. While costs decreased in past decades, only in recent years has tuition risen.

Unfortunately for students, the trend in higher education costs are that (C) costs have consistently risen over the past fifty years and continue to rise.

This increase in price is partially caused by the rise in demand which is not followed by an economic growth that is equal to the increased rise of tuition. This increase of tuition has created a generation of students that graduate with a diploma and a mountain of debt to pay.
