Athens was a civilized society with a rudimentary democracy in ancient Greece, The individuals of Athens produced literature, poetry, drama, textiles, arts, science, they also played musical instruments, boys went to school and girls learned how to cook, sew and run a home and how to be a good wife and mothers. The society also had a good military force.
