x - 4y = 4

x-intercept for y = 0

substitute y = 0:

x - 4(0) = 4

x - 0 = 4

x = 4 → (4, 0)

y-intercept for x = 0

substitute x = 0:

0 - 4y = 4

-4y = 4 divide both sides by (-4)

y = -1 → (0, -1)
