The correct answer is A. For a period in the past, the Russian Orthodox Church enjoyed some freedom and incentives, they also experienced some geographical expansion. But with the end of the Russian empire, under the Czar and the beginning of Soviet Union and the Russian Revolution, many conflicts started, because the new government opposed and persecuted the Christians.
