From the Figure We can Notice that :

Opposite Side - AB = 1

Adjacent Side - OB =
√(3)

We know that :


Tan\theta = (Opposite\:Side)/(Adjacent\:Side)


\implies Tan\theta = (1)/(√(3))

⇒ θ = 30°

We know that :


Sin\theta = (Opposite Side)/(Hypotenuse)


Sin30 = (1)/(AO)


(1)/(2) = (1)/(AO)

⇒ AO = 2
