Following the ice age people began to cultivate rice wheat and potatoes. However herding of reindeer declined because of climate change. What are some possible reasons people stopped raising some domesticated species?

Possibly because of the benefits that come with cultivating plants rather than animals. Food from plants would last longer and not require as much resources to grow. It could also be because of a decrease in the animals population.
