In an electric current, the voltage varies directly as the electric current, measured in amperes. If the voltage is 75 volts when the current is 15 amps, find the voltage when the current is 10 amps.

Show all of your work.

Write the equation in slope-intercept form that passes through the points (1, 5) and (-3, 3). Be sure to show all of you work for every step.

Suppose f(x) = x^2 + 3x-2 and g(x) = x + 1
Find f(1), g(16) and f(3) + g(6)
Show all of your work.

V=IR

75 = 15 *R

divide by R

75/15 =R

5 =R

V=IR

V = 10*5

V= 50 Volts

Write the equation in slope-intercept form that passes through the points (1, 5) and (-3, 3). Be sure to show all of you work for every step.

slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-1)

= (3-5)/(-3-1)

m=(-2)/-4

m=1/2

point slope form

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-5 = 1/2 (x-1)

distribute

y-5 = 1/2 x -1/2

add 5

y = 1/2 x -1/2 +5

y= 1/2 x + 4 1/2

this is slope intercept form slope=1/2 intercept = 4 1/2 or 9/2

Suppose f(x) = x^2 + 3x-2 and g(x) = x + 1

Find f(1), g(16) and f(3) + g(6)

f (1) = 1^2 +3(1) -2

= 1 +3-2

=4-2

=2

g (16) = 16+1

= 17

f(3) + g(6) = 3^2 +3(3) -2 + 6+1

= 9+9 -2 + 7

= 18 -2 +7

=16+7

=23
