What conclusions can you draw about the economy of Ireland in the mid-1800’s?

Economy in Ireland in the mid-1800´s was the most terrible for this country: it coincides with what is known as "The Great Irish Famine", also known as the "Great Hunger". During this period literally millions died. The most affected areas were the South and the West of the Country.
