Before the Supreme Court would hear the appeal of the case, the case should already heard or trialed in a lower court since the Supreme Court is an appellate court. Before a case would hear in Supreme Court, there should be a petition for a writ of certiorari that should be granted by atleast four out of nine Supreme Court justices.
