The Townshend Acts were a series of British Acts of Parliament passed during 1767 and 1768. These Acts put taxes on paint, paper, glass and tea. Colonists were angry about the Townshend acts. The reason why was becausethe colonists were being taxed without their voice. The money was going to pay for british royal governor salaries.
