Were critics of WWI anti-American? Include evidence drawn from at least 3 of today’s documents.

the answer is no they were not the environment in 1917 was not the same in December 1941. while German unrestricted submarine warefare disgusted many Americans it wasn't universally reconized as an adequate cases belli in what many perceived to be a morally ambiguous war.
