Using BODMAS (Bracket , Of , Divide , Multiplication, Add, Subtract), we first open brackets .


8+5*4-3*2\\\\=8+20-6

Now again using BODMAS , first we solve addition operation, then subtraction.


=28-6=22

Hence, the number of people are in the theater= 22
