3x - 7 = 2x - 5 add 7 to both sides

3x = 2x + 2 subtract 2x from borh sides

x = 2

Check:

L = 3(2) - 7 = 6 - 7 = -1

R = 2(2) - 5 = 4 - 5 = -1

L = R CORRECT! :)
