We have been two terms
7x^(4) and
-5x^(4) and we are asked to combine like terms.

We can see that our both terms are raised to fourth power, so we can combine our terms. We can combine these terms by combining coefficients of our both terms.

7x^(4)-5x^(4)

Coefficient of our first term is 7 and coefficient of our second term is -5. Upon combining these coefficients we will get,

(7-5)x^(4)=2x^(4)

Therefore,
7x^(4)
-5x^(4) in combining like terms will be equal to
2x^(4).
