The Ming´s Dynasty´s policies towards foreign trade begining in the 15th century resulted in a rtapid growth of smuggling and piracy along China´s coast ( answer A ) . In effect, while foreign envoys to China were permitted, strict prohibitions were enacted for chinese maritime trade ventures trying to trade abroad.
