This is taken from Sonnet 29 written by William Shakespeare. This poem is written from the point of view of someone who is depressed or not happy with the way his life turned out. He wishes he had made better choices, but he remembers the happy moments of his life when he was in love. These memories are precious to him.

Question: who is the him in the poem?

Answer: Someone who the narrator admires, envies and wishes he could be more like, because this someone has it all and has made it in life.
