Well first, let's just see how we can simplify the expression we are given. After all, we are trying to find a simple expression equal to this one.


2(3x - 1) - 3x + 4

  • Set up


6x - 2 - 3x + 4

  • Apply the Distributive Property


3x + 2

  • Combine like terms

In this case, we can see that we have simplified our expression down to 3x + 2.
