Working alone, it takes Andrew nine hours to pick forty bushels of apples. Jimmy can pick the same amount in 15 hours. If they worked together how long would it take them?(URGENT)

Andrew = 9 hours/40 apples

Jimmy = 15 hours/ 40 apples

suppose they each had 20 apples

then it would take andrew 4.5 hours and jimmy 7.5 hours

add them together to get 12? don't trust me on this i really didn't get the question
