The late Middle Ages event that ended in the creation of the Tudor dynasty was the War of the Roses. This name describes a series of Civil Wars for the control of England. The House of York, and the House of Lancaster. The victory was for a loyal to the House of Lancaster, Henry Tudor. Henry took the throne as Henry VII and married Elizabeth of York, thus uniting both claims. That is how the House of Tudor´s dynasty was born.
