The event known as battle of the twin villages refers to the Spanish attack on "Taovaya" ( tribe part of the more known Wichita people) villages in Texas and Oklahoma in 1759. The triggering event was the attack and destruction of the San Saba Mission. This led to the attack of Spanish forces.
