Alexander Hamilton believed that the creation of the Bank of the United States would help the nation´s economy improving and stabilizing the credit of the nation. Likewise, it would improve the financial business of the government itself. Through the institute Hamilton wanted the federal government to assume the war debts of the various states and pay them off.
