the molar mass of any compound is = 1 moleof that compound

233.4 gram of barium sulfate = 1 mole of barium sulfate

76.9 gram of barium sulfate = 1 * 76.9/233.4 = 0.329 moles

Hey there!

Molar mass BaSO4 = 233.383 g/mol

So:

1 mole BaSO4 ------------ 233.383 g BaSO4

moles BaSO4 ------------ 76.9 g BaSO4

moles BaSO4 = 76.9 * 1 / 233.383

moles BaSO4 = 76.9 / 233.383

=> 0.3295 moles of BaSO4

Hope that helps!
