Making an equation (I am calling the first number x):
remember, when you add 2 to an even number you get the next even number
x + (x+2) + (x+4) = 120
solving
Sum up the x's
3x + 6 = 120
Subtract 6 from both sides
3x = 114
Divide both sides by 3
x=38
so 38 is the first number
the next two even numbers are 40 and 42
So the three consecutive even integers is 38, 40, and 42.
