Let x be unknown number. If number x is multiplied by
-(2)/(3) and the product is equal to
(3)/(4), then

x\cdot \left(-(2)/(3)\right)=(3)/(4).

To find x you should divide
(3)/(4) by
-(2)/(3):

x=((3)/(4))/(-(2)/(3))=(3)/(4)\cdot \left(-(3)/(2)\right)=-(3\cdot 3)/(4\cdot 2)=-(9)/(8).

Answer:
x=-(9)/(8)
