Where do the carbon in plants come from that plant use to produce carbon dixide

As plants undergo photosynthesis they draw in water through their roots and carbon dioxide from the air through specialized structures called stomates. So the inorganic carbon in carbon dioxide becomes organic carbon making up the oils, carbohydrates and proteins found in plants.
