Is 3x=4 a linear function

The equation of a linear function in slope-intercept form:


y=ax+b

Where a ∈ R and b ∈ R.

We have
3x=4\to x=(4)/(3).

It's the vertical line. It isn't a function.

Therefore it isn't a linear function.
