Apart from exhibiting arts and crafts, the Indian Curio Rooms also showed native artisans working, so the tourists who visited these rooms (such as the one built by Fred Harvey at the Alvarado Hotel) could watch them, as well as Native Americans from different tribes dressed in their traditional clothes. They also held demonstrations, told stories, and held Indian dances.
