The statement is true. In Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley, William, Henry and Elizabeth were all strangled by The Monster. In fact, strangling was The Monster's modus operandi when killing. Elizabeth's death was the most shocking to him, since he'd been thinking The Monster was after him, when he was actually after his bride, who was killed on the very day of their wedding ceremony.
