Suppose a population of 50 crickets doubles in size every 3 months. How many crickets will there be after 2 years?

Explanation:

If the population originates at 50 and doubles in 3 months that means every 3 months there is 100 crickets.

4 X 3 = 12

There is 12 months in a year.

Therefore we multiply 100 and 4 which equals 400.

With that being said there is 400 crickets each year.

Since it is 2 years we now multiply 400 by 2.

400 x 2 = 800

So, your answer is 800
