3. Results of the "last ice age":

  • The occurrence of last ice age increased the mean sea level by approximately 120 metres.
  • It also resulted in the development of Homo Sapiens (a more developed species of human beings that had by then adapted to harsh climates)

4. Following are a few glacial depositional features:

  • Moraine: It is an unconsolidated mass of rocks and regolith deposited by a glacier.
  • Kettle: A hole formed on a draining plane by glacial action is called a Kettle.
  • Esker: It is a ridge that is formed when a glacier melts to leave back "stratified sand and gravel".
  • Drumlin: A long trail-like hill formed of rock, sand and gravel deposited by a glacier is known as Drumlin
