Weathering changing rocks and mineral by how liquid such as water, ice, and acids can hurt the rocks and mineral surface which will dissolve them or break them down. Also salts, plants, animals, and temperature changing will do the same.

rocks and minerals on the surface of the Earth. Water, ice, acids, salts, plants, animals, and changes in temperature are all agents of weathering. Once a rock has been broken down, a process called erosion transports the bits of rock and mineral away.
