Similar triangles are congruent sometimes because if you take similar triangles and scale one until it matches the other, then they will be congruent. Sometimes, the triangles are already the same size.

Answer: sometimes

Explanation:

Properties of congruent triangles:-

  • They have same shape and size.
  • The corresponding sides and angles of two congruent triangles are congruent.

Properties of similar triangles :-

  • They have same shape but may have different size.
  • The corresponding sides are proportional.

From the above properties , we can say that congruent triangles are similar but similar triangles may not be congruent.

Hence, Similar triangles are sometimes congruent .
