Bonjour

France national day in on the July, 14th. ('Bastille Day' in English)

This is the Bastile Day, more commonly known for French People as "Fête Nationale du 14 juillet".

It celebrates 'la Prise de la Bastille', "the Storming of the Bastille" (which represented the royal authority) on July, the 14th, 1789. This day was the main point of the French Révolution.

Then in August 26th, 1789, the Constitution des Droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen , (The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen) was adopted by 'L'Assemblée Nationale", the French National Constituent Assembly .

hope it helped :)

it is the July 14

If July 14, 1789 (taking of the Bastille) is judged by some parliamentarians as a day too bloody, the Federation Day of July 14, 1790, it allows to reach a consensus. This "two-way" date makes it possible to unite all Republicans.
