The absolute value is very simple, since:

  • The absolute value of a positive number is the number itself
  • The absolute value of a negative number is that same number, without the minus sign.

So, the absolute value of -2/3 is simply 2/3:


\left| -(2)/(3) \right| = (2)/(3)
