Standards of living in Papua New Guinea are low.

The situation in the country is very painful. There's a lot of poverty and misery. The area is insecure and the money isn't enough to have a well-organiced health system. Also, the contamination and pollution are very hight so there are lots of illnesses in the population.

The population of Papua New Guinea is just over seven million people who have very diverse backgrounds and cultural backgrounds.

The level of inequality in the distribution of income is the highest of all countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and currently, Papua New Guinea is the country with the lowest number of sub-Saharan Africa in the Human Development Index (HDI) of the United Nations.
