Prior to copernicus, what model was wildly accepted? Heliocentric or geocentric

Geocentric.

Heliocentric is the idea that the universe revolved around the sun, while Geocentric was that it revolved around the Earth.

Before Copernicus, it was widely believed that the geocentric model was correct, thus making it widely accepted.
