After agreeing to perform the wedding ceremony, Friar Lawrence tells Romeo, “Wisely and slow; they stumble that run fast.” (2.3.94) What do you think he meant by this? Did Romeo take his advice? Did he take his own advice? What other options did Friar Lawrence and/or Romeo have?
