6 pounds=4 blocks

step two

using a rule of three to find the number of pound per block

6 pounds =4 blocks

x pounds= 1 Block

6 pounds/4 blocks =x pounds/1 block

x=( 6 pound * 1 Block)/4 blocks

x=1.5

1.5 is the factor, this means,that if you have x number of blocks , you must multiply for 1.5 to find the total of pounds

y=1.5 x

where x is the number of blocks and y is the weight of those blocks( in pounds)
